PURPLE CUT – LIMITED EDITION 2008

PURPLE CUT – LIMITED EDITION 2008

Holger Nielsen makes the first Vipp pedal bin for his wife Marie’s hairdressing salon in 1939. To honour Marie’s work as a hairdresser for more than 50 years, Vipp and the award-winning hairdresser, Shan Rahimkhan, have created two unique Vipp bins in the colour of the year, Purple Cut.

Each bin has been transformed into an expressive work of art. One is directly inspired by Marie’s passion, hairdressing. The bin is swathed in long wavy hair and a mannequin peeps out beneath the lid. The second piece is decorated with two peacocks, inspired by an ancient Persian fabric print. In Persian mythology, the peacock symbolises beauty and immortality – characteristics to which Vipp always aspires.

The two unique bins made by Shan Rahimkhan will be on display in selected shops throughout 2008.
