Smile everyone!

Anyone can get in a pretty good mood by looking at the new bowl from Eva Denmark. We find the name really imaginative… It is called Smile.

Smile is nominated for the Formland Design Award – Autumn 2007.

Eva Solo Smiley is once again designed by Claus Jensen and Henrik Holbæk from award winning design company Tools.

Smile – and your bowl will smile back at you
The latest new design product from Eva Denmark A/S can only put you in a good mood. The Smiley bowl always smiles at its surroundings, and it is always ready to lend a helping hand to hold nuts, sweets or all the stuff that you carry around in your pockets. The decorative bowl from Eva Denmark A/S has been nominated for the Formland Design Award – Autumn 2007.

“With its Smiley bowl, Eva Solo moves from plastic to mouth-blown glassware. The result is a beautiful seasonal product that is highly imaginative. It is a good idea to cut off the edge, so that two different functions are achieved. Furthermore, the name is very fitting, as it really does look as if the bowl is smiling at you,” are the reasons given by the Design Award Committee in the nomination.

Eva Solo Smiley is designed by Claus Jensen and Henrik Holbæk the two designers behind the recognised Danish design firm Tools. As usual, the product is yet another well-conceived solution from the talented designer. In fact, with Smiley, you get two bowls in one. The outer bowl invitingly presents pistachio nuts or caramels, while the inner bowl is perfect for the empty shells and the wrapping paper.

The bowl has deliberately been designed so that it produces a smile, and it is made of several layers of clear, coloured glass. Smiley is available in popular colours like lime, orange, turquoise, red and black. The recommended retail price is DKK 499. The Smiley bowl from Eva Solo can be seen at stand C 2530 during Formland Autumn 2007.
