De La Espada has teamed up with Scandinavian furniture designers Søren Rose Studio to create an outstanding new collection. Select pieces will preview during Salone Internazinale del Mobile in Milan 2011. The complete collection will be presented at 100% Design London in September.
Designer Søren Rose says, “The furniture collection we have created for De La Espada evolved out of our Park Avenue project in New York that began in 2008. All of the pieces are designed for real people and the result is a very dramatic collection that combines the best of the Scandinavian tradition with a New York contemporary touch.” The collection exhibits the true craftsmanship while exploring new material combinations including cork, marble, aluminum, brass, fabric and natural wood. Using solid, beautiful materials, the collection is simple in nature yet obsessive in detail, resulting in long-lasting timeless pieces that offer a fresh take on modern living.
